Classes are held at the Frisco Gathering Place
Thornton Training Group has joined forces with the Frisco Gathering Place to offer parent education workshops to the public! It is located at 6881 Pecan Street at the corner of 4th and Pecan.
The Gathering Place is a house of hope located in historic downtown Frisco. It offers full-service support for individuals and families. At the Gathering Place, each person is seen as unique, creative and capable of change. We hope you will find it to be a safe place to heal, learn and grow. Families can find services ranging from behavioral medicine and extensive cognitive and psychological testing, solution-focused and Christ-centered counseling, a wide variety of support groups to comprehensive nutritional therapy and many experiential opportunities.

BACK TO BASICS Tuesday evenings starting February 16
These courses will assist you in establishing a healthy climate that nurtures the development of responsible young adults. Attendance in all classes is encouraged but certainly not required.

Class Code 9.5: SOS...My Kids Won't Mind Me - Effective Discipline and Giving them Responsibilties
PARENTING THE STRONG-WILLED CHILD Tuesday evenings starting March 9
This three-week course will increase your understanding and effective parental management of strong-willed children. Attendance in all classes is encouraged but certainly not required.

SPECIAL TOPICS MONTH Tuesday evenings starting April 13
These three stand-alone courses focus on special circumstances that can affect us all at any point in our lives.
Sessions include:
Class Code 7.3: Growing Through Single Parenting April 13 6:30-8:30pm
Class Code 6.5: Easing the Transition into Adolescence April 20 6:30-8:30pm
(great for parents of graduating 5th graders!)
Class Code : Money Matters: Teaching Your Children Financial Responsibility April 27 6:30-8:30pm
